Well, this is truly cosmic. I have just experienced my first Multi-Transcontinental Blogging Moment . . . I sauntered over to Peter's blog; he's posted an entry about Bach's Oratorio, which he and his wife (and their choir, silly!) sang this weekend, and which he and Russ were discussing on the comments page here a few days ago, when I wrote about the Messiah performance that Randy and I saw.

He had one comment - from someone named Sarah. When I read her comment, her "voice" sounded vaguely familiar to me - so I clicked her web link, and lo and behold, she's the person I "know" as Rhubarb - a frequent commenter on my niece's blog. How Rhubarb found her way from Stanford to Australia is beyond me, but she must certainly have gone through Leeds and Ann Arbor on her way . . . I guess we all truly are only six clicks away from each other!

Kinda reminds me of my first multinational MOOing moment in 1994 - when Russ and I got invited to present at a conference at the University of Twente, in the Netherlands, because we were "overheard" on MediaMOO, talking about a conference presentation we'd both written and I'd presented the previous afternoon . . . 8:00 in the morning, Missouri time, and I was dancing around the hotel room, screaming, "I'm going to the Netherlands! I'm going to the Netherlands!!" - and realized that, although I'd been "conversing" with two people for the previous half hour, those were the first words I'd spoken out loud . . . (and in my excitement, I left my Bestest Teal Blazer Ever in that motel room, and I've been missing it ever since . . . )
