So Emma just called . . . she's going to be late getting home tonight because she's going to some sort of meeting of the theatre department at Pioneer, the gigantic McHighschool from which her brother may one day graduate, and to which she wants to go next year instead of to Community (aka "Commie") High, where she now goes.

I bet Pioneer has a wonderful theatre department.

Perhaps this switching schools things is more considered than I'd realized; perhaps there's method in her madness . . . I don't know why this should surprise me; when she makes these kinds of decisions she's usually right . . .
