Well, here's an unexpected turn of events. As I put it to my sister-in-law,

I am officially done for the year (except for my homework), and I'm finding the sensation really odd. After having worked at the College of Pharmacy as a staff person, the notion of a 14-week vacation is hard to imagine. Strangely enough, I'm worried that I'll get bored. Go figure .
. .

Go figure, indeed. For another thing, when last I had a summer off, the kids were 10 and 8, much different ages than 18 and 16. I used to wait for summers to come so we could play all day . . . now I will have to play by myself.

Gee. I haven't had that kind of freedom since graduate school. It'll be interesting to see what I make of it . . .
