Well, on Wednesday I leave on my mondo Colorado/California expedition, followed immediately by PALM. For a while there, I was thinking that three weeks would be a long time to be gone . . . but now I remember why I thought an extended trip would be The Thing to Do, and I can't wait to get going.

I just checked Weather Underground, and saw that the weather in Colorado is supposed to be about like it's been here (only a tad cooler) - highs in the 70s and low 80s. Yay! San Francisco, on the other hand, looks to be cool and damp; 60s near the ocean, and 70s inland. This will complicate packing somewhat . . .

I have to pack for PALM in the next few days, too; there won't be much time when I return and I don't want to forget anything.

I'm going to look around today for some new clothes . . . I've slipped down a size (not that this would really be noticeable to anyone but me), and although I can wear pretty much everything I now own, it's all deliciously baggy . . . It would be nice to have an item or two that really fits.

It's really nice to have time to pack in a leisurely fashion, instead of shoehorning everything in around a 9-to-5 job! This was one of the situations I was anticipating when I took this job . . .

Ah, well. I'd better hop to; the day's a-wastin' . . .
