Well, in case you're wondering how I'm coming with the Irish Washerwoman, you can hear today's rendition right here. (I'm posting this despite the fact that Certain Among You have nearly perfect pitch and timing, which I assuredly do not . . . )

I was able to record this .MP3 using common household objects, which impresses me all to pieces. I decided that I wanted to make a recording so I could hear myself play; obviously there are still many rough spots and I haven't quite got all the notes nailed . . . but I wanted to listen for, um, 'musicality,' as it were. Personally, I can hear it here in a few spots . . . I'll get there, I'll get there . . .

I'm also outrageously and amazingly taken with the way this technology facilitates learning this skill. I could send this audio file to my teacher if I wanted . . . how cool is that??

Ah, well. Back to procrastinating. (I go back to work on Monday, alas . . . )
