Well, while I was out running this afternoon, it dawned on me that perhaps when we return home tomorrow, we'll return home to PILES of snow! And my skis are in the kitchen, and I know exactly where my wax is. Woohoo!

Here's hoping we can actually leave tomorrow; I fear that Kathy and Rich may get stopped by the storm. But they don't usually get daunted by weather . . . I'm ready to be home. Emma has been at loose ends for too long, and I'm ready to resume my life, for however brief a period.

Emil, Sr. has had a pretty good day today. He found the energy to shave (drat! I was liking his beard . . . ) and had a big helping of fish and pasta shells for dinner (from his favorite Friday-night restaurant). I'm not sure the dinner sat too well, but at least he had the appetite to want it.

And I've got more soup going, so the larder will be well stocked when we leave . . .
