Well . . . I never made it out the door to go to the concert, because first I was talking to Emil on the phone, and then I decided to clean the basement. (I'm not even going to try to explain that one. Suffice to say that, as a person living functionally alone, I can do whatever the hell I want whenever I want, and I am enjoying the situation to the fullest. It won't last, and I don't want it to - but in the meantime . . . )

But Emil and I were both wondering about That Cello Partita. I think it's a partita, anyway . . . it is to the cello repertoire what Beethoven's 5th symphony is to the symphony repertoire. You hear it in commercials everywhere . . . (you know. Goes "da da da da, da da da da.") (That was a joke.)

Anyhow, one (or more) of you music buffs out there will know which one I'm thinking of. Please let me know immediately, because it's stuck in my head and the only way to get it out is to play it on my iPod . . .
