Well, it turns out that Door #2 wasn't really closed, after all. So I'm back to dithering. I won't bore anyone with the details because at this point they're boring even me.

Also very, very busy. Both Summer Jobs are in near full-swing now, and it has become apparent that my opportunities for lying at the pool reading novels are going to be few and far between. I'm singularly unimpressed.

The nice thing is that I have been able to ride my bike to work whenever I've had meetings here in town, and that's been frequent enough to be really nice. It's about time I got to ride regularly! I'm sorely out of shape, what with the broken toe and all slowing me down this spring . . .

Also, Summer Festival has begun, which means lots of stuff to do at the Top of the Park. Last night, Brenda and I went and heard some music I can't really describe - perhaps it was SKA - and then stayed for half of Big. Tomorrow night Diane and I are going to go and listen to a salsa band and then watch Mad Hot Ballroom, which neither of us has seen. And then on July 3, the movie is Wallace and Gromit and the Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which will take some of the sting out of having to work on the 3rd (a Monday) and thus miss any opportunity to do anything interesting for the Fourth . . .

I'm too busy this summer. I'm starting to feel petulant. (I'll try to keep that to a minimum.)

Anyhow, back to grading . . .
