Well, we're in the Final Push to get the house ready for the open house. Yesterday I cleaned and polyurethaned the floor in the study, which turned out looking so nice that we're going to do the rest of the first floor woodwork, too. We've got carpet cleaners coming tomorrow, and Emil's sanding and refinishing the front door. Wish us luck; there are 114 houses in our $25K increment for sale in the city of Ann Arbor. Now, I know they're not all created equal, but still . . . it does give one pause. We're having an open house and so are the people next door (we're looking forward to seeing their house!); the following weekend, our house, the house next door, and the one down the street will all be open. I'm starting to think about this as a challenge. What do we have to do to make sure that our house is one of the 11 in our price rangethat might sell this year??

This is all happening as I finish up my online class (grades are due tomorrow at 8 am) and also finishing up the in-town gig (I have major reports to read and comment on in preparation for conferences tomorrow).

I can't help but feel that maybe the crashed housing market is a Sign from God that we shouldn't move . . . :)

Stay tuned.
