Well, I'm camping out in Ann Arbor tonight. The internet is just not working out at the moment, and I don't have time to mess with tech support, even if getting through to tech support would do any good on a holiday weekend. I was hoping we'd still have internet in the house, but alas, no. So I spent a few hours at the A2 library trying to get my online classes squared away (I succeeded with one of them), have come home to type this, and am then off to one of the many late-night spots from which I can choose to access the internet . . . they do exist in Lansing, but aside from my in-laws' house, I don't know of any I'd care to walk to my car from (let alone bike home from) at, say, midnight. Not that they're not there - I just don't know of them. (Those of you who do might want to pipe up here.) And my in-laws aren't home this weekend.

I haven't contacted any of my Ann Arbor friends because I just really want to hunker down and get some work done. I hate starting the semester feeling like I'm running on the wheel, because all that happens from now on is that the speed of the wheel accelerates.

time passes

I'm now downstairs at the Espresso Royale on South U, where the internet is wireless, free, and fast. Yee, haaaa. I'll do what I need to do online, download the rest, and head back to camp . . .
