. . . today's one of those days when I'm just very happy to be here. At the moment it's about 11 pm and I'm sitting in the living room listening to classical music on the radio, looking at the fish tank, and listening to the sound of the crickets coming through the open window. I went for a bike ride through the neighborhood after dinner tonight, which was very pleasant.

I keep wanting to find the time for a long ride somewhere soon; there are many nifty routes around the city (all mapped out by members of the Tri-County Bicycle Association, and available in hard copy for free in every Capital Area District Library) that I would like to investigate. If we don't actually have an open house in Ann Arbor this weekend (I think it may have been cancelled) and I can stay put, perhaps I'll get the chance tomorrow. Brenda came up this afternoon and we drove through the farm area south of MSU's campus, and I saw that most of those roads have nice, wide shoulders . . . maybe I can wend my way in that direction.

But not if I don't get some sleep soon . . . more to say but it will have to wait . . .
