Well, I'm sitting in my toasty-warm, cozy study, listening to classical music on WKAR mingled with the sound of gloppy, icy precipitation coming down outside, and knitting. I certainly do feel all snuggled up, that's for sure.

I'm sort of on a marathon to knit some socks for Aunt Betty. Possibly I'll get to go to Y'town with Kathy this weekend, and even if not, she can take the socks to Betty in any case . . . so my plan is to work on them whenever possible. Tomorrow is MLK Day, which means I have a bit of a breather from work. There are no f2f classes (I have a Monday-Wednesday f2f class). And everything's up and running with my online classes, so all I have to do this weekend is keep an eye on things. I'm going to knit like crazy tomorrow, because if I don't get a sock and a half done before I go in on Tuesday, I probably won't get the pair done by Friday. I'll post pix tomorrow when it's light outside.

Milo has been staying with us for the past day or so. Charlie is moving to a new apartment in his building; he's getting a one-bedroom because a friend of his from Lansing is moving up here and they're going to share an apartiment. So we're keeping the cat until the dust settles. (The whole arrangement seems dubious to me; I hope it doesn't turn out to cost us anything . . . ) Charlie is working again; did I say that already? He's delivering for a different pizza place . . .

Other than that, not much to report. Life cranks along, and we're all more or less on an even keel at the moment. Emma starts school this week and she's nervous, but other than that the air is calm.

Well, back to the socks . . .
