Well, more than a week, actually, and not really a representative sample, but the pix are adding up here . . .

For one thing, I have actually been doing some knitting. Here's the cardigan I'm making from that Poodle Skirt yarn I got last fall:

And here's what the nubbly bumps look like close up:

I am really enjoying knitting this sweater, although it has gotten to the point where it's going to require a lot of thought as I do the shaping. So it's still fun, but not mindless any longer.

My new mindless project is going to be a v-necked sweater out of this stuff:

It's called Purple Night, and it's from Sleeping Dragon Yarns. It's a fingering weight yarn, which means I'll have plenty of mindless stitches . . . I'm a little over halfway through a pair of socks with it right now, and it's such a pleasure to watch the colors change as the yarn passes through my fingers that I want some more of it.

I'm also learning to do Entrelac, in preparation for knitting those fish mittens I saw last year. Here's the beginning of my first entrelac swatch:

See those sort of triangular-shaped gaps between the stitches? When I complete the next entrelac block, there will be stitches in those gaps, perpendicular to the stitches that are already there. (If you can't picture that, just wait.)

In other news (or other pictures, I should say), we have animals. Cats, primarily. Milo has become one of the gang:

Personally, I think this picture just goes to show, if you've seen one tabby, you've seen 'em all.

The weather has been delightful, and Wally has been enjoying it immensely:

So has Freddy. I leave you with this sequence of shots. (These are for you, Jeff . . . ). Freddy, you might notice, is sitting in the almost-completely-excavated pond, and he walks up the channel from the sump pump spout. Soon this will be a 'water feature.' Now, it's a bit of a mess. All that aside, I think these shots truly capture Freddy's essence . . .:
