As you can see, the Baumansee is practically overfowing its banks. In fact, there are flood warnings for the not-at-all-Red Cedar and the not-so-Grand Rivers, too. (Makes me glad we didn't buy a house in the Flowerpot District of East Lansing - looks nice, but you do need flood insurance there.)

It's 55 degrees out there, too. The weather is supposed to get colder by the weekend, when we'll likely get a dusting of snow (which would have been perfect on top of the 11 inches that has melted rapidly, but now will probably only muck up the roads). Ah, well, at least we have water! No droughts here . . .

I didn't put my snow tires on my bike, and I think I'm going to refrain. But I also didn't put my new fenders on - and that's an omission that has to be remedied. Before tomorrow, in fact . . . yikes!

Otherwise, things trundle along . . .
