HBO's "Def Poetry" is probably one of my favorite shows on television. And I've only seen it once. "Def Poetry" is a thirty minute show where poets from all over the world come and recite their work to both a live audience and to the television audience. The poetry ranged from political to humorous to social commentary. I loved each poem that was presented. Oh, and it's hosted by my favorite hip-hop artist Mos Def who is one hell of a poet in his own write.

The show inspired me beyond belief. It gave me some ideas of where I could take my own writing. Poetry is some of the hardest stuff to write. My teacher said that I had some really great lines in my poem that I turned into class a couple weeks ago. Hopefully I can keep improving. I'm sure I will.
