Last time I EVER eat at any kind of Tex-Mex meets Madison Avenue fast food. I have never been able to put 2 and 2 together before, but after yesterday's feelings of death and near vomit, I'm hanging up my Taco Bueno spurs and dusting off my back to basics, Peanut Butter and Jelly spurs. I don't think I will ever eat at either Taco Hell or Taco "no es" Bueno again.

It was such a nice day yesterday and I was really looking forward to spending some of it outside, instead my day was spent, curled up on Anya's couch. Maybe I should have planned on moaning and cold chills instead, maybe that would have ensured me a day of perfect health and nutrition. Oh well. Nice days are in the forecast all week, so it'll be nice to be able to make up for lost time.

BUT....

Making lemonade out of sour lemons, I did get to watch both the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys win their respective games. Houston won on a last second touchdown and Dallas kicked the snot out of a bad team. Those two events were the only things that gave me temporary relief from my food poisoning.

Later that night, I caught a pretty interesting movie called "Secretary." I thought that it was really thought provoking and interesting. I may or may not review it at a later time.

It was an early night too. After taking two sips of Raman noodles, I decided to throw up the white-flag and go to bed. You know it HAS to be bad when you can't even finish off some Raman noodles. As they say in MAD Magazine, "BLECH!!!!"

Woke up at 3 this morning. I ate an apple with all the ferocity of SNL's Peepers. As is always the case, Apples were indeed just what the doctor ordered. If only I had stuck with Apples from the get go......

Having been to Hong Kong twice, I can say without a doubt that food poisoning is no fun at all. But the day after a food poisoning type incident is almost just as bad. Most of the day is spent in a half-sick, half replenishing of nourishment limbo. You don't feel well enough to hit the ol' Golden Corral fried food free for all, yet it isn't bad enough where no food can be eaten. The day after foods usually consist of steamed veggies, white rice, any kind of fruit, and popcorn if you're feeling adventurous.

Slowly but surely, I'm returning to normal. Although, normal for me recently has been leaning towards the sick side of the spectrum. Hope I'm not dying. ;-)

matt out
