Matt in 2003 would rather watch "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" or "While You Were Out" instead of Sunday football.

Matt in 2003 would rather watch a small indie film or an intimite drama, rather than watching a big budget Hollywood movie. (although you wouldn't know that from the movies I've seen this year)

Matt in 2003 has rediscovered my love for writing. That's due mostly to my creative writing poetry class. It was fun.

Matt in 2003 wasn't afraid to try cd's that I wasn't sure I was going to like. Rooney-mom got me this cd for Christmas. I had heard one song of theirs but wasn't sure how it was going to be. I LOVE IT. And that even counts for musicians which aren't "cool" to like. ie. Justin Timberlake.

Matt in 2003 would rather walk everywhere then take his car. I work on campus, so I rarely have to use my car. When I do stay at my place, I take the e-trans bus to school. And when Anya and I go places, I don't think Anya likes my car so we usually take hers when we go places.

Matt in 2003 is more politically active than I was last year. I'm an ACTIVE member of MAV, FMLA, and the College Democrats. And when I say "active," I mean just that. I'm actually out there doing what needs to be done instead of taking a backseat and hanging in the background like I've been known to do.

Matt in 2003 has discovered that a moptop is the right haircut for me. Why didn't someone tell me when I had my long hair that it wasn't looking too good? Now that I have hair that I'm happy with, people come up and tell me that they're glad my hair is the way it is now and that they didn't think my old haircut (or lack thereof) looked all that good. And looking at pictures of myself with my Jesus hair, I know EXACTLY what they're thinking.

Matt in 2003 has had a rollercoaster personal life. From the highs of a new niece and a family reunion, to the lows of...the obvious.

Matt in 2003 is hoping that 2004 is a better year than the last.

matt out
