Hey everyone. I just read a rumor on www.theforce.net that Lucasfilm may be working on a post-prequel trilogy centered around Darth Vader and why he is the most feared man in the galaxy.

I find this to be very interesting and think that it could be an excellent show. I REALLY hope they can get this off the ground. One of my big concerns with the new trilogy is that we were never going to get a chance to see just how much of a bad guy DV really is. I mean, besides all the wicked stuff he does in the prequel and Original movies, we still don't completely know why he's such a feared villain. I'd like to see that fleshed out a bit.

I hope that they can get James Earl Jones to do the voice work, seeing as he IS Darth Vader and all.

I'd like to see this done right. I think that there is a lot of good material that could be mined from a post prequel SW television show. I'd hope that the writers and producers would approach the material with a bit of reverence so that it's a show worth watching. I could see a SW themed show to be VERY corny. Shows like "The West Wing" and "The Sopranos" deal with both light and dark material pretty successfully. I'd like to see a SW type show do the same.

Speaking of "The West Wing," has the show jumped the shark yet? I saw a bit of last night's episode and it seemed a bit soap operatic with the kidnapping of the president's daughter and the stepping down of Pres. Bartlett. Any thoughts?

matt out
