If you watched the Golden Globes, then you heard Bill Murray mention his and Wes Anderson's new movie, 'The Life Aquatic.' I've been a big fan of Wes Anderson since I saw 'Rushmore' a few years ago. I've been a bigger fan of Bill Murray since my childhood days of 'Ghostbusters' and 'Saturday Nigh Live.'

This will be Wes Andersons and Bill Murrays third straight movie together. I have always been a big fan of actors and directors working with each other on numerous projects. I think that actors usually do their best work with directors that they know and trust. Think of De Niro and Scorsese, or Tom Hanks and Robert Zemeckis.

The details about the movie are still a bit fuzzy, but it has something to do with Bill Murray playing an oceanographer (like Jacque Cousteau) who is trying to track an elusive shark while his estranged son (Owen Wilson) tries to reform some kind of emotional bonds with his dad.

Sound confusing? Here's some more information that might pique your interest. Henry Selick, the stop motion animation genius behind 'Nightmare Before Christmas' and 'James and the Giant Peach,' is going to be working on the stop motion underwater effects. Isn't that weird? Instead of going the obvious, computer generated route, Wes and crew are using old school stop motion animation. I think that he may be trying to get his movie to look like those old school underwater movies like '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.' Should be interesting to see what direction he takes with all this. I know I'm interested.
