Long Weekend

If this weekend has proven anything, it's that time is all relative. I have had 3, 4, and 5 day weekends that have moved faster than this current one. It just keeps dragging on and on and on.

I should have gone over to a friends house or done something worth my time, but I've spent most of it zoning out on my couch. Yesterday, I got my favorite blanket and spent the ENTIRE day watching Steven Spielberg movies. First "Close Encounters," followed by "Jaws," and winding up with "Raiders of the Lost Arc." But before my Spielberg day, I finished up "The Big Lebowski" that I started Friday night. And today, I finished "Casino" that I started last night after the great Nazi face melt from "Raiders of the Lost Arc."

I tried getting some writing done, but it was all an exercise in futility. I think that'll come, but last night I spend the better part of an hour playing solitaire and not even attempting to write through my writer's block.

I'm currently at my mom's apartment. She's at church I think. I'll probably just hang out here for the rest of the evening. The Academy Awards are on tonight. I never got around to seeing "Mystic River," "Master and Commander," "City of God," "21 Grams," "In America," blah blah blah. I guess that's why they made the rental system.

Other than that, life's pretty blah right now. Feel a bit like a textbook with no writing on the pages. :-|
