Hello to all 2 people out there that read my journal. ;-)

I'm in the process of cleaning out my closet and making "room" by getting rid of a lot of stuff that I don't use anymore. Part of that clothes disposal consists of my going through my big box of Marine Corps Uniforms and selecting one of each uniform. Having set aside one of every uniform, I have a lot of extra Marine Corps Uniforms and accessories that will gladly find their final resting place in the neighborhood dumpster if no one chooses to claim them. So if you find yourself in the market for a dress blues blouse, or a camoulflage top with McKibben on it, let me know ASAP.

Speaking of, I do NOT fit into any of my old Marine Corps Uniforms anymore. I can still rock the cammies okay, but everything else is TOO tight to fit. I can kinda fit into my dress blues, but not much else. It's kinda scary how skinny I was way back when.

It was also kinda neat going through my old Marine Corps stuff. Just looking at the uniforms, I got a real sense of nostalgia about the Marine Corps. I tend to look back on the Marine years with a definite sense of detachment and sometimes cynicism. But every so often, I get a real sense of pride. Not so much because of what I did and because of the Marine Corps, but pride in knowing that I did the best job I could and that I made some trully outstanding life long friends. And I saw the world too. Take away the Marine stuff that I grew to hate, and I'd say that it's not too shabby a way to spend four years. :-)
