It's a zombie movie, so take that for what it's worth.

The acting was surprisingly decent considering that most of the actors in the movie are zombie lunch.

There were some genuine funny moments both intentional and unintentional. For example, they're running from the zombies in the mall and they get into an elevator that's playing this really sappy elevator music. And there's also a scene where the characters are on top of the mall picking off zombies that resemble real people such as Jay Leno and Burt Reynolds with a high powered weapon. An example of an unintentional funny scene, when the lead actress is escaping her neighborhood, there are some funny moments of cars getting blown up by other speeding cars running into them.

The movie is hard core violent, but I mean...duh...it's a zombie movie after all.

I get kind of tired of movies that use the quiet followed by the loud noise method of scaring the audience. I think it's kind of a cheap way to do it because any movie can have something like that and still startle the audience. This movie had a lot of that going on.

There really wasn't too much substance in the movie but I wasn't really expecting much. Overall it was a fun night at the movies and the perfect compliment to 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' which I had seen earlier in the day. Can't complain too much about this movie because it's not really worth the time.
