I'm not even going to waste my time with a full blown review of "Van Helsing" but know that this movie sucked ass. I mean, it definitely had it's moments, but it was more or less a complete waste of time. Director Stephen Sommers took everything fun and cool about monster movies, and traded that all in for action movie sensibilities. How can you have a movie with Count Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man, and not have ONE tense moment in the entire movie?

Count Dracula looked like a night club owner. Frankenstein was pretty lame. The Wolf Man was not freightening in the slightest.

The CGI was overused.

The directing was just flat out atrocious. Just imagine a movie made, designed, written, and acted by a bunch of 13 year old boys, and you have this movie in a nutshell. Imagine "Indiana Jones" if it had been directed by the hack of all hacks, and you have this movie.

Hugh Jackman couldn't even save this movie. What a waste of a good concept.
