Had a pretty fun weekend. Anya and I celebrated two years by spending a fun day down in Big D. After a much needed day of sleeping in, we headed down to Dallas through Lewisville where we ate a late lunch at Mac Grill. After MacGrill we continued to Dallas where we spent about an hour or so walking around the Dallas Museum of Art. Saw lots of great paintings, sculptures, and other types of art.

Following the trip to the DMA, we headed on down to Reunion Tower where we ate on top of the Dallas Skyline. It was both of our first times to visit Reunion Tower and I'd say that the overall experience was pretty cool. The tower makes a rotation about once every hour or so. I think we made about 2.5 rotations while we drank coctails, ate dinner, and stuck around for dessert and coffee. We got there at 6:00, sat in the observation deck drinking wine until 7:00, ate dinner at 7:00, and ate dessert from 7:45 thru 8:30-ish. We probably should have pushed everything back an hour so that we could have seen daylight, sunset, and then the nighttime Dallas skyline.

The food was pretty good, but WAY overpriced. I don't mind paying big money for good food, but the food here was slightly below the standard for the money we spent. But that's neither here nor there. You don't eat at Reunion Tower for the food so much, as you do the opportunity to eat atop of the Dallas skyline.

We had a great time though, and that you can't put a price on.
