I have conceded defeat. The conservative and liberal war-hawks were right. The war in Iraq was fought over humanitarian reasons. I mean it's totally obvious right? I mean, isn't Iraq a much safer place now that the big bad Saddam has been ousted?

But the main compelling evidence that the United States is out to start wars for humanitarian reasons is because of the huge troop presence we have in the Sudan. I mean, in the past year alone 30,00 to 60,000 innocent civilians (depending on the estimate) have died with approximately 1.2 million left homeless because of militia warfare. And we've been right there all along, standing up for the poor Sudanese as they are being slaughtered.

The United States is the shining beacon of hope and freedom for the world. We stand up for those that can't defend themselves against the weapons that we supply "the bad guys." That's why we stopped this god awful atrocity in the Sudan before it became worse.

What's that you say? We haven't even set foot on Sudanese soil yet??? We're too strung out in Iraq to send too many troops? But I thought that the reason we went to Iraq was to stop this type of thing from happening? And it's happening now and we're doing nothing? So what IS the war in Iraq being fought over if not for humanitarian purposes?

I guess that's what happens when you say one thing, mean another, and then do something else.

As the commercial says, "Welcome to Crazy World!"
