Is it Monday morning already? Where DOES the time go?

Had a pretty busy weekend and have an even busier week scheduled.

-Saw "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" this past Friday with Anya and some friends. It was "okay" I guess. I LOVED the style of the movie but I didn't really give a rats ass about any of the characters. Jude Law was good, but there was something not quite there in his performance. The director should have put a little more of that old fashioned, "Hudsucker Proxy" type pizzaz in the dialogue to snazz it up a bit.

The effects would go from great, to downright cheesy. But like I said, the movie was so incredibly stylized that I couldn't help but wear a smile most of the movie.

-Did "The Whisper Walk for Ovarian Cancer" with the family this past Saturday. It was hot as hell out there, but I had a great time walking and talking with the family. It's always good to know that if there's ever a problem I'm having in life, my family is going to be behind me 100%.

And a definite shout out to my Aunt who is kicking her cancer squarely in the ass and taking no prisoners. She's a true testament to strength and compassion. I'm lucky she's my aunt. :-)

-Hung out with Anya and my mom for the rest of Saturday. We did the usual Mom, Anya, and Matt 2 hour discussion into political matters and then topped it all off with some tasty Mongolian BBQ. I LOVE me some Mongolian BBQ. Anya and I were going to try and top it off with some IMAX "Spiderman 2," but decided against it at the last second. Spent the rest of the evening in a state of dozing off as we watched "American Graffiti" on the television.

-Spent most of Sunday either meeting with Rochelle and the other FMLA officers and working on a new short story that's been cooking in my head for a while. Can't wait to get back to it.

And here I am! Monday morning. Another busy (but rewarding) week ahead. :-)
