Is it roundup, or round-up? Hmmmm...If I gave a sh*t, I'd go to dictionary.com.

Anywho...

I had a pretty great weekend. As they do these days, my weekend started on Thursday night. Opting out of attending a debate on "Abortion," Anya and I headed down to a restaurant called "B.J's" and sampled some of the best pizzas, fried-string onions, and pale ale this side of corporate America. I had never been to B.J's before, and I must say I was way impressed. The food was really good, and I liked the atmosphere a lot. It's very "Jerry Maguire-esque" in that there is something there for both women and men to like. It *is* an unfortunately named restaurant though.

On Friday, Anya and I unintentionally had an artsy-fartsy day. We really wanted to go to a wine-tasting, so we went to the Delaney Vineyard (loosey goosey term) in Grapevine. It was ghetto-tastic, but did have some really decent wine.

We then wanted to head over to Dallas to maybe have dinner with mom, but found out that my Aunt Chris was having her art displayed at the University of Dallas. So we headed over there with mom, Gram, and Aunt Sherry. Her artwork was really great. I'm glad that we were able to check it all out.

None of the mainstream movies out right now appealed to either one of us, so we decided to head over to the Anjelica to see what was playing. Having seen most of what's playing, we decided upon Almodovar's "Bad Education." It was an excellent movie, though I don't expect it to win any box-office awards. Remember when I had my red-state/blue-state movie rankings. Well, this movie is as blue-state as it gets. It was a beautifully filmed movie though, with incredible acting and an incredible script.

On Saturday, Anya and I, met up with some friends for an evening of "Steak and Shake," and late night ramblings. Those are *always* fun. The usual topics apply, politics-religion-movies-etc.

The weekend wrapped up with a Fulmer-Family birthday thingy at Uncle Ted's house. Everyone had a good time. :-)

That's about it. Hope everyone has a good week.

matt out
