The First of Many...

This is probably the first of many posts about the upcoming judicial fight, but all I have to say today is that I'm still utterly confused as to why Supreme Court positions are lifetime appointments.

I mean, I know the reason why the founders created it that way, but I think that the founding fathers probably thought that all presidents would be pretty middle of the road and there would never be an instance of a president appointing an either extreme left or right judge. But at this point, Bush can nominate someone who will change the face of the court say, for the next 30-40 years.

We'll keep our fingers cross and see what happens.
