I guess I should write something about the Astros. While it was definitely disappointing that the Astros did not win the World Series, I have to say that the fact that they even made the World Series is a minor sports-miracle. At one point, the Astros had 15 wins and 30 losses, and were written off by most everyone, myself included.
They had a great team, but they got beat by a better team. But don't let the series ending sweep fool you, the Astros lost pretty much every game of that series by an average of 1.5 runs. If this team can pretty much stay intact over the offseason, the Astros could be one piece away from winning the darn thing.
Oh well. It was heartbreaking fun.
In the meantime, UT is ranked first in the country (for now), the Rockets are ranked highly in most pre-season polls, the Spurs are the Spurs, and if the Cowboys could learn that a game is 60 minutes and not 58, they'd be 6-1.
