The Oscar telecast was broadcast to last from 7:00 - 10:30, so I thought surely, they'd be able to wrap up the show at 10:30. But just in case the show went over (as it always does,) I decided to record the next show on ABC just to make sure that I caught everything there was to show.

But sure enough, in typical Oscar fashion, the show went well past 4 hours, so my dvr quit recording halfway through Forest Whitaker's speech, which ultimately sucks because I missed out on Martin Scorsese's first win in both the Directing and Best Picture categories. Watching Scorsese win was the main reason why I watched the Oscars this year.

Digital Video Recorders are great, but if a show runs longer than it's supposed to run, they tend to cut entire portions of a show out. <---- the rantings of a first world spoiled brat.

I'm going to write a review of the show (which I thought was pretty good) tomorrow sometime, but I really do think that they should figure out a way to keep this show under four hours.

Go Scorsese!

my two cents for...is this Monday already?
