That game was ugly as hell, but a win's a win, so we'll take it. Look, there reallly isn't much to say, so let's bullet point it, shall we:

- As a Spurs fan, you gotta love that even though the "Big 3" didn't really do much, the role players finally showed up and helped the team win. That's what makes this team so hard to beat. You can slow down Parker and Duncan and shut down Ginobili, but you can't stop the entire team.

- I'm not sure what to make of this Cavs team. You can tell that they usually make the shots they're missing, so I wonder what would happen if they actually had a high quality shooting night.

- Even more perplexing for Cleveland is why LeBron James keeps opting out of driving the lane. If I were LeBron, my game 4 strategy would be, "Fuck my teammates, I'm driving the lane every single damned time I get the ball. I either a) make the shot b) get fouled c) miss...What do I have to lose?"

- I'm still (every so slightly/by the slimmest of margins) in the Duncan as MVP camp. But Parker's 3 closed the small gap to a miniscule amount. I'd like to see a Game 4 where Duncan and Parker both make claims for the MVP. The great thing about both guys is that I don't think either care, especially Duncan. Everyone keeps saying Parker is the MVP, but I remember everyone saying the same thing about Ginobili in 2005.

- How much does it chap Mark Cuban's hide that he's still paying Michael Finley?

- Before the game started, I told Anya that I thought the refereeing would be all over the map tonight. I really think that the NBA has a way of sending in the clowns, so to speak, to call some of these games. Some of those Duncan fouls...On one in particular, there was not even contact. And I'm not just saying this as a Spurs fan. There were a few LeBron James fouls that should not have been called.

- Everyone keeps saying that going down 3-0 is going to "demoralize" the Cavs. I'm not so sure. I think it's highly possible that they'll play as loose as ever on Thursday since they have absolutely nothing to lose at this point.

- I think game 4 will be a better executed game by everyone involved.

That's all I got. I'm glad that the Finals has gone back to the game/day off/game format. I hated waiting 3 or 4 days between games like the beginning of the series.

-Matt
