John Edwards dropped out of the presidential race today. While I am an enthusiastic supporter of Barack Obama, John Edwards was the candidate that matched up with me on an issue-by-issue basis. I'm glad he was in the race and felt that he brought a lot to the table.

And I don't care what size his house is, how much his haircuts cost, and how many hedge funds the man has; I believe he's genuine in his desire to end poverty in this country and abroad and hope that both Obama and Clinton continue Edwards' strong advocacy for those who "don't have a voice in this democracy." We really need to get past the line of thinking that only the poor can advocate for the poor. Poverty was a part of his platform before he even had a platform to talk about.

It's a little odd that the white man is the odd one out. Weird.
