Anya's aunt has the Billy Joel two-disc "Greatest Hits" set, so I've been listening to that all morning. I don't really listen to a lot of Billy Joel, so it's been pretty cool getting to listen to his music.

Overall, I'm a much bigger fan of the second disc, which I think covers the late 70's to mid 80's. I'm sure that if you're a Billy Joel fan, where you come down on which disc you like says something profound about who you are.

Billy Joel is an artist that I always associate with my Uncle Ted. Billy Joel and Simon and Garfunkel. I always associate those two bands with Uncle Ted. I'm not sure why. Maybe an early memory.

Anyways, he's a pretty great artist. I may have to pick up that album at some point. He's one of those "greatest hits" artists; artists that I'd feel complete having just the greatest hits disc and nothing else. Elton John, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen. Good stuff, but I don't think I'll ever own any of their actual albums. Though I do have Elton John's "Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road," which is an amazing album, so who knows?
