* Finding out I'm included in the Boxcar Poetry Review 2006 Anthology through marymary saying very kind things about the poem in question.

* Reading an entertaining essay on purple prose in a manual for romance novelists (Anne Stuart: "I once, God help me, called [a penis] 'the raging beast of his desire' but I saved my reputation when I saw the galleys and almost barfed"), and then ~~inflicting~~ reading aloud choice bits to the BYM.
