Twenty juvenile whooping cranes led by ultralight aircraft are stalled in Carroll County in West Tennessee where they landed last Saturday, on a migration-learning trip from Wisconsin to Florida.

The endangered birds and ultralights -- with pilots dressed in white to mimic adult cranes -- are flying from Necedah National Wildlife Refuge in central Wisconsin to wintering grounds at Chassahowitzka and St. Marks National Wildlife Refuges along Florida's Gulf Coast.
