Sixteen! Count 'em...

Hey there, it's Submission Boy here. Able to seal an envelope in .0045 seconds while writing an SASE at the same time! The hero who puts fear into postal workers everywhere. The guy who has... drumroll please... SIXTEEN stories out for possible publication.

Holy thirty-seven cent stamp, Batman. What happened?

I was bummed about my most recent rejection, but that spurred me on to revise that story as well as a handful of others, and I ended up fixing up and either snail-mailing or e-mailing 5 stories out today. One to Analog (always a looong shot with my writing), one to Strange Horizons, one to F&SF, an older story to MarsDust, and a potential reprint to deathlings.com. I have one more short-short to send out to the deathlings contest, and then I should be about caught up.

Whew. It was fun, going through stories really fast this morning, cutting mercilessly. One story, "Redemption, Drawing Near," lost over 2,000 words, and that same story had lost 4,000 word earlier. Crazy.

And now that I'm finally getting back to a good schedule, I plan on jamming some more on the Wannoshay novel tomorrow, maybe inching closer to finishing the elusive chapter 16. Later.
