Like a stone rolling headlong down a grassy slope...

Oh snap, the novel's rolling along now! I didn't get CLOSE to finishing chapter 18, but I've got like four scenes all laid out, in varying degrees of completeness. Very cool. I have to keep it brief tonight, as it's way past my bedtime (it's 9:10 p.m. as I furiously type this!) and I still have to walk the pooch. I'd put him in the backyard, but there's the issue of those pesky grubs. It's a long story, trust me.

Not bad -- 1,500 words in about 2 hours' time. And now I know much better what's going to happen with the Big Picture. And I even have some sneaky subterfuge stuff going on with the Elders. Heh heh heh. More later. Must sleep now!

Today's Quote:
Iowa City held nothing more for Shermie Powell. He glanced at Joshua's bluish face from where the priest was lying on the ground, eyes closed. Numbly, Shermie looked over at Skin down on one knee next to Joshua, the thin young man trying to get Joshua to sit up. Off to his right he saw Shontera and Janna pushing their way through the crowd of immobile Wantas. It was time for Shermie to move on.

"Lend me your keys," he said to Skin.
