Oh geez...

So yesterday I get an email from an agent who saw my author page at Publishers Marketpace who wants to look at the first 3 chapters of my first novel. Whoa! Glad I signed up for that service again.

So now the new plan is to polish those three chapters and overnight 'em to her by Thursday at the latest. If any of you have time to read those chapters and give me comments by Wednesday night (um, that's tomorrow!), that'd be cool, but it's 63 pages... and a fast turnaround. I think the first chapter is really strong, but I haven't looked at the novel in a while. I know where its weaknesses are; I just have to slow down and fix 'em up!

Lot of stuff going on these days, and little sleep to keep them from all blurring together. The fiction class I'm teaching is humming along, and the workshop sessions have been great. Just four more stories to go, then it's all downhill.

And I have a new writing group set up to meet the first Sunday of every month, and I've got some new cool stories and novel chapters to read for that. I'm quite pumped about this. Should be lots of fun.

I also have had a couple story ideas dancing 'round in my head, wanting to get out, including one based on my ideas for the historical baseball novel, and another based on ... zombies. It's nuts. How does one keep up? Ah well. It's fun, thinking about all these things. Now I must get some work done. Later!
