Another story drafted!

Okay, it's late, and this is the third journal of the day for me, so something's fishy. Actually, putting together my list of my favorite stories from last year took up more time than I'd thought it would, so I had to play some catch-up to get everything done I wanted to get done.

And I did -- I finished the first draft of my superhero story, "Ladies in Waiting." Yeehaw! It's turned out quite nicely, and should be pretty close to being done. I sent it out to some other writers who are also working on stories for the anthology, so we'll see what THEY think.

And now, we've got a bed full of laundry that needs folding, it's 11 p.m., there's an ice storm supposedly coming our way AGAIN, and I need some sleep so I can revise the Shadow Wolf story...

And maybe then I can get back to work on the Blackbeard novel. Sheesh. Sometimes I feel like such a flake. Later!

Today's Quote:
Without another word, I led Violet and Daisy toward the secret southern entrance that only the three of us knew about. We passed by the big statue of Balto the dog, his tongue hanging out as he smiled down at us. Good old Balto had guarded us on so many dark nights, along with Caliburn and the many other heroes we were about to meet. When we walked out of the Park, it would be the first time any of us had left since Halloween night.

But I also knew that, in a short time, after some of the best training we’d be able to get anywhere in the world, we’d be back.
