Where is my mind? Wheee--re is my mind?

Oh man, I've never been more ready for a weekend before! Not only do I finish up my ultra-hectic schedule tomorrow, coming into work early and teaching in the afternoons, but we're going to the beach tomorrow night. Wahoo!

Elizabeth and I celebrate our 6th anniversary on Saturday -- how crazy is that? I still feel like we just met. We'll be sharing her parents' timeshare with her folks and her sister and brother-in-law and our wild and crazy nephew (hey, money's tight, and a free weekend at the beach is nothing to sneeze at!), but we're planning on sneaking away Saturday night for a good meal and maybe even some live music. It should be interesting -- the timeshare is in Myrtle Beach, the cheesiest of cheesy places, so who knows what we'll find there. They do have a House of Blues, but nobody good is playing that night.

While I'd really love to work this weekend on the revisions to the SF novel, which were just getting started to roll before this teaching gig started, I'm gonna hold off and get caught up on reading and relaxing. I'm reading Gibson's Pattern Recognition and tearing through it, but I keep finding myself nostalgic for Neuromancer for some reason. I'll have to re-read that one soon. I'm also hoping to re-read all 13 of the Intracities stories so I can get edits out (if needed) to my various authors, along with their cash!

But most of all I'm looking forward to a burger and a couple beers at Joe's place at the beach with Elizabeth and sleeping in (also with Elizabeth). This getting up at 5 a.m. is for the freakin' birds! Later...
