Okay, this is cool:

As part of a Halloween get-together at a local bookstore, Lazy Lion Books in nearby Fuquay-Varina, I'll be judging a short story contest with area novelist Drew Williams!

Also on hand will be Scott Nicholson, and you can win some of their books along with a $50 gift certificate. All you need to do is write a short-short horror tale of no more than 500 words and get it to the book store by October 11th, the day of our reading extravaganza!

It's open to new writers with less than 3 "major magazine short story sales" or a novel sale. So what the heck -- get to writing. I may enter myself... Jus' kidding.
