Time for just a handful of links today

I had a nice long entry all planned out for today about some of the interesting stuff I'd read at the gapingvoid Web site, in particular his book called How to Be Creative. It's a manifesto. I like saying that word. Manifesto!

More on that later, probably tomorrow.

I've had a couple links of interest I've been wanting to share a while, like the Asimov's Reader's Poll, which is automated and easy as heck to fill out. Just wanted folks to know that my story "Coal Ash and Sparrows" is in the running in the Story category, even though the story's not really SF. I like it, and it only took a year and a half for it to see print! Lots of other good stories in there to vote for as well, I'm sure, but I'm so slack I've not had a chance to read 'em all.

Also, speaking of voting on fiction, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America has a spiffy new Nebula recommendation form online, along with a searchable Nebula Awards Report, which you can filter and sort. You know you want to vote for yourself, so do it. Um, but you have to be an Active SFWA member to do any of this. Not many folks are reccing stuff these days, so if you're able to, go rec some good fiction, eh?

I also finally got around to updating my own Web site, adding some odds and ends to my Gunning for the Buddha page. And most importantly, I dusted off my Bio page, adding new content and a new Drew section! Woo-hoo!

Oh, and there are some interesting rumblings going on over at the Novel Blog, but more on that tomorrow as well.

Happy clicking. Later!
