Coolness -- I just finished the first draft of a completely new story for the first time in, I dunno, almost a year. It's rough as hell, but I like it. I kept wanting to quit and go read or fart around, but I stuck with it (Lizzie's been hanging out with Drew while I putter away). Tomorrow I get to do the hard part -- revising -- but for now I'm basking in my post-first-draft glow.

I also added a new entry to the novel blog, which is starting to really roll along, now that I know where it's going. Sort of. Fun stuff -- please go read and leave some comments, if you want.

And now we're going to brave the forty-degree weather and take a hike -- Drew, Lizzie, Whit and me! Then it's on to Chapel Hill tonight. We loves us some weekend. Later!
