Drew Update

Today at lunch we took the youngster to the pediatrician to get his second round of shots. Yikes. Drew was not crazy about getting poked four times, but he stopped crying pretty quickly. He's tough, much tougher than his parents...

There's nothing worse than that look of betrayal after that first needle gets poked into his chubby little leg. He's like "Dad, you're right HERE. How could you let this HAPPEN? And man, it HURTS!"

Elizabeth couldn't watch, so I got to hold the youngster. Sigh... But like I said, he recovered fast, and he was about asleep by the time we left. He even got a triceratops sticker for his car seat.

Before the shots, we got to finally see what he now weighs and how tall he is. Let's just say he had some major growth spurts since last time we visited. According to the doctor, he's got the body of a seven-month-old (at four months of age)!

Sorry. Saying that just cracks me up. The body of a seven-month-old...

He's now weighing in at 17 lbs., 11 oz (over twice his birth weight of 8 lbs 12 oz), 27 inches long (five inches longer than he was at birth), and a melon that's 45 cm in diameter. He's in the 95th percentile for weight, 97th percentile for height (he's 2'3"!!), and over 98th percentile for head size (all those brains, you see). That's our boy!

Okay, I'll quit gushing now. Later!
