And ba-boom -- I'm done with the first 2/3rds of the baseball novel! Cool. This last chapter before the start of "Act Three" probably needs another coat of paint, but I really want to continue with the next section -- I don't want the middle section to get TOO bloated.

And the next chapter is going to be FUN -- it's one of my favorites. It has this wacked-out Santeria ritual that sets the stage for the ending of the book, and has some of my favorite bits in it.

More weirdness over at the novel blog, where I added a nice chunk today. Even if I never publish the novel or novella that results from this blog, it's been a great exercise in almost-spontaneous writing and writing without any real plan in mind (though I'm having to check my document that contains the entire story more and more as my plot gets twistier).
