Six months and 13 pages!

This week's been so busy that I didn't get a chance to celebrate Drew's six-month (six months! already!) birthday with y'all, so I thought I'd regale you with pictures and baby stories before I go babbling on about my novel. First things first, ya know?

Drew's ear infection from way back when never truly went away, so we took him back to the doctor yet again, and THIS doctor (we have a revolving group of doctors at our pediatrician, which is really freakin' DUMB) realized he had bilateral ear infections, one in each ear. So he gets the heavy duty drugs you gotta keep in the fridge, and he's feeling much better. Not a great way to spend a six-month birthday, though.

He's feeling much better already, and this time the infection had better go away for good. I hate that the other doctors didn't catch this sooner. Some choice words were said, believe me, but most of them under my breath. Most of them.

But as you can see, Drew's a happy, happy guy, and he is THIS CLOSE to crawling -- he already pulls/drags himself all over the place:

Giving Dad his best six-month-old smile

And even when he's sick, as he is in this picture from Sunday, he still cracks us up:

I hate it when snot runs into my mouth when I'm not looking!

More unbelievably cute photos are available at the usual place.

As for my writing, well I have to talk about that a LITTLE bit...

My new schedule has been working out great -- get up early in the morning, write (after checking just email and this journal to see if anyone left a comment, no more surfing than that!), go for a jog if I have time, then I shut the computer off for the rest of the day! It's quite nice, not messing with writing at night.

Although last night I was itching to work on the book (I'd "slept in" until a quarter to six yesterday, so I didn't get much done), so I banged out some more revisions, and after some more work today, I've got 13 pages left in the book to revise! Sweet. It's all coming together, and I really like the ending. It needs some more details here and there, some fleshing out, but it's all there.

Now I just need those editors and agents I queried to respond... Later!
