So this morning I dropped off Lizzie and Drew at her sister's, so they could carpool with her and her kids to the beach. For a week. While I'm stuck here, alone with the cat and dog. Sigh.

I'll try not to bore you with the details of how much I'll miss them and all that. Honest.

I do hope to get a bunch of writing done, as I joined a novel-writing challenge to finish my new novel by the end of September, and I'm pretty much stalled out after a weekend filled with yardwork and housework after our vacation to Iowa. I'm so behind it's not funny.

But if I can buckle down and get focused, I'm pretty sure I can finish chapters one and two this week, if not chapter three, before I join everyone at the beach on Friday.
