Back from the beach, with a sale to boot!

We came back from the beach yesterday afternoon and spent the rest of the day chilling out and trying to decide if we wanted to spend my advance money on a new computer -- still not sure about that -- and now we're heading off to the pool. Drew got to try swimming again at the "lazy river" at the beach, and he quite loves it.

But I had to drop in here to say that I have good news -- my short story "The Brotherhood of Trees" sold to the new, very cool electronic magane Aeon Speculative Fiction!

The story should come out next February, in issue 6.

Huge thanks to Steve Berman for taking a look at it (I wrote it originally for his anthology So Fey), and for his excellent suggestions, all of which I tried my best to incorporate. And thanks to E. Sedia for her comments on the revised version.

I'm very pleased to see this story get picked up -- it takes place in the forest just a few hundred feet from where we live. Later!
