Refreshingly longhanded

This could be my last listing of the ol' progress meter -- I did some writing today in my notebook to start off the second part of my novel (after FINALLY finishing that durn chapter that refused to be finished for days, if not weeks). And I like it. Writing longhand is quite refreshing, and I didn't want to stop. And yeah, the ideas kept coming, and I feel like the sentences were crafted with a wee bit more care than they would've if I was banging on keys.

Of course, I had to see how much I'd written, so I went back and typed in the half page or so I'd done longhand, and that came to be a page and a half typed and double-spaced. Sweet!

Now I must stop obsessing about wordage and get back to the story. So let's try and retire the Word Meter, eh? (You'll notice my total wordage for the book shot up 15k, to 90,000 words total -- that feels like the right size for this book, since the real meat of the story's just getting started!).

Have a great weekend, everyone! Later.
