Holy cow. I can't even begin to say how much I'm enjoying the process of editing my novel. Not only is it great revisiting my characters and the setting again, but I truly feel like I can see the book taking its final shape, thanks to the excellent comments from my editor.

As it was, the book was pretty much a standard mystery with a strong female protagonist, but now I'm seeing it evolve into a better story as I develop the male protag more and more, and make him into more of a hero instead of a spacey goofball. And, I must say, it's turning into a pretty damn good romance -- adding all the moments of attraction and making the sparks fly has been a ton of fun.

Just wait 'til the big love scene, I keep telling myself. I'm a little bit worred about that one... Squishy stuff! Yikes!

More later. It's about 10:30 a.m., and I'm on page 26 of 225 pages, halfway through chapter 3. This is a book I'm becoming more and more proud of. Later!
